Classic chess is a strategic two-player board game played on an 8×8 grid comprising 64 squares. Each player begins with 16 pieces: one king, one queen, two rooks, two bishops, two knights, and eight pawns. The primary objective is to checkmate your opponent’s king, which means putting it under immediate threat of capture with no escape. The game can be enjoyed either against artificial intelligence or with a second player on the same device. Additionally, it features tools to help solve challenging chess puzzles.
